A Computer Usage Policy is
something that, when in place, allows everyone to know where they are
with their own responsibility for their offices' computer systems.
The
truth is that the way your staff behave when using your office network
can have a huge impact on how often there is a problem with internet
connectivity or security etc. Once the guidelines are laid out and
understood by everyone, not only do the instances of misuse lessen, but
productivity will also increase due to people spending less time
wondering what they should or should not do and how to do it.
Your staff
need to be comfortable using their computer systems, in fact, it should
be second nature to perform most administrative tasks, and knowing where
your responsibilities lies, and what you can and cannot do within
company liability allows staff to relax because they will know that,
despite the fact that something can always go wrong with any system,
they will not have to worry as they stuck to company rules. |

Drop us a
line to find out how we can organise meetings with management at your
office or a series of seminars to involve your whole staff. We have
experience with email surveys and online questionnaires that will bring
out proper opinions on the subject with both anonymous and named
options. We can also supply generic templates examples compiled by us
that we use to give companies a fair idea of what is likely to be well
received whilst bringing results.
When all is
said and done there are no limits to what can be achieved with a proper
information technology policy for all aspects of your computer and
communications systems, allowing you to gain information from your staff
on where to go next as, after all, they are the ones who use the systems
and are the most important people to please. |
